Source Policy
How RankStash sources information
Every RankStash page is built from primary and neutral secondary sources. We do not publish speculation, proprietary claims, or unofficial "leaks" about how ranking systems work.
What we use
- Official documentation — methodology pages, published procedures, and official announcements from the organization that maintains the ranking system.
- Academic literature — peer-reviewed papers and books describing the underlying models.
- Widely accepted references — neutral secondary sources such as encyclopedic articles, used for context and history.
What we avoid
- Reverse-engineering claims about proprietary systems
- Speculation about undisclosed parameters or weights
- Opinionated criticism not supported by documented sources
Where a system's exact inner workings are not public, we say so and limit the explanation to what is documented at a high level.
Each page lists its references at the bottom. If you believe a page misrepresents a documented methodology, please contact us.
